The idea of basing money creation on a renewable energy source is very good. However, it is unnecessary to use crypto because it wastes too much energy. Instead I would adopt Benjamin Franklin's idea (and championed nowadays by writers like Ellen Brown) of letting local and/or federal government spend it into circulation. Ie. instead of giving it to Wall Street, it is first given to Main Street to fund education, healthcare, social services, etc. In fact, this source of free sustainable money can replace taxation on labor and goods exchange. If we make it the ONLY source of revenue for state budgets, then it will automatically reduce the growth of these budget to within sustainable limits. If we further require all energy used must be renewable (not just solar but all forms of renewables) then we would be a good ways towards addressing climate change.
